“By getting to know one another, we can pool ideas, and put an end to prejudice”
An interview with Faustin Ndrabu who facilitates a Tapori children’s group in Bukavu, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
“Coming together for meetings is important to me because it allows people to put ideas together, to think aloud and to encourage each other. Thus everyone finds courage in the daily struggle against deprivation and poverty. Meetings allow people to get to know each other; and knowing the other removes the bias that makes us believe, “Ah, that person is like this or that, that other person is arrogant, etc.” Until you have taken time to listen to the other, you do not know them.”
