European youth Forum
As an international NGO, ATD Fourth World is a full member of the European Youth Forum.
The European Youth Forum (EYF) is “the platform of youth organisations in Europe. [It represents] youth organisations, both National Youth Councils and International Non-Governmental Youth Organisations. […]”
“The Youth Forum works to empower young people to participate actively in society to improve their own lives by representing and advocating their needs and interest and those of their organisations.”
In the EYF, ATD Fourth World dialogues with youth about extreme poverty.
Our actions:
- We contribute to the European Youth Forum’s position papers on youth issues related to ATD Fourth World.
- We participate in the Structured Dialogue set up by the European Commission and the European Youth Forum. “The Structured Dialogue on Youth is a process enabling young people to be involved in the shaping of policies that affect them, through continuous cooperation among youth representatives and decision-makers.” (European Commission, European Parliament).
- We bring to the European Youth Forum working groups the views of young people from different backgrounds that ATD brings together in a variety of groups across Europe.
