Cameroon
The group Friends of ATD Fourth World in Cameroon is one of our newest teams.
Their four primary goals are:
- To observe October 17, World Day for Overcoming Poverty, in Cameroon,
- To educate young people and children about work going on around the world to overcome extreme poverty,
- To support all those currently engaged in the fight to overcome extreme poverty, through conferences and knowledge-sharing workshops,
- To strengthen the work of ATD Fourth World – Cameroon through trainings and dialogue with different members of ATD Fourth World
The group Friends of ATD Fourth World in Cameroon is diverse and includes three different nationalities, including Cameroon, France, and Democratic Republic of Congo. The team’s work is also diverse. For example, several members of the group are engaged with refugees, children living in the street, and families in disadvantaged neighborhoods. These diverse commitments nourish and strengthen the team’s discussions.
